The dagger scene

The dagger scene. This scene is one of the most important parts of the play. However as a director tho the play you have to make a decision. To have a dagger or to not have a dagger. If i was a director I would choose to make Macbeth look crazy and have no dagger. Many directors have chosen to show the dagger, but many haven't. Lets just take a little time to talk about why i would choose to have no dagger in this scene. Well for starters Macbeth is going through a tough time, and what likely happens when people are stressed is they start acting a little crazy. Macbeth in my opinion needs to show that all this stress and craziness inside of him need to show. When a person's conscience is bothering them deeply they often have different scenarios running throughout their kind. So perhapsMacbeth  at this stage is imagining a dagger before him. After being introduced to Lady Macbeth we have come to learn that she has boiled up a lot of cruelty in her heart. Perhaps though some of her cruelty has rubbed off onto Macbeth and caused him to turn a little cruel. I believe that Macbeth may be dealing with regrets to him and Lady Macbeth's plan, and his imagination is relieving him of his stress. There are many opinion to this matter, but this is mine.
